LYP’s positive displacement motor operates based on the Moineau principle. High-pressure drilling fluid (mud) is pumped through the motor, causing the rotor to turn inside the stator in a helical path. This mechanical rotation is transferred directly to the drill bit, enabling efficient drilling. Our motors offer strong shock resistance, high torque output, and are well-suited for directional and horizontal drilling.

LYP screw drilling motors are widely used in vertical, directional, horizontal, and cluster wells. Our tools perform exceptionally in soft, medium, and hard formations, as well as in high-temperature and high-pressure environments. Each motor can be customized in terms of size, stages, and torque to suit your drilling application.

Under normal operating conditions, our motors can deliver 80 to 200 hours of continuous drilling. To extend service life, we recommend proper control of weight on bit and flow rate, along with regular maintenance. For extreme environments, we offer custom motors with enhanced wear and temperature resistance.
